Term Paper – Students are encouraged to carry out work (field, lab or computer related studies) related to Earth sciences in a group of two or three students. Each Group will be asked to make presentation in the class using power points and each student has to submit their own term paper (similar to a research paper)(content of the term paper, summary, introduction, data, methodology, results and discussion, conclusion and references, one may include figures, tables, photos and graphs). One should not copy from others, new materials which are not covered in the class must be used. Term paper like a research paper, total 10 pages including figures and tables (double spaced, font type TIMES NEW ROMAN, Font size 12) typed in Microsoft word, one can insert figures and tables. If you use tables and figures, they must be numbered and discuss in the text. You must include real data available from various sources, from these data, you can generate plots which can be included in your term paper. If you use real data to generate plots, you will be given extra credit. All the figures/tables used in the TERM paper must be numbered and one must include sources of figures and tables. Students are encouraged to meet and discuss their topics for term paper.
